Converting bitcoin to dollars is simple math: multiply the amount of BTC by the current BTC/USD rate. The table below does it for you at the live rate — 1 BTC, 0.5, 0.1, 0.01 and 1 millibitcoin — updated every minute.
Going the other direction, divide the dollar amount by the BTC price to get bitcoin. For example, at $100,000 per BTC, $500 buys exactly 0.005 BTC (500 ÷ 100,000). Remember that exchanges add a small spread and fee on top of the raw rate.
For tiny amounts, think in satoshis: 1 BTC = 100,000,000 sats. So $1 at a $100,000 BTC price equals 1,000 sats — the unit most Lightning Network payments use.
